camping in clarklake

Located in beautiful Clarklake, you can get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Within a half mile of the Clarklake park and boat launch, enjoy all the lake has to offer then return to your off-grid oasis. Staying in our yurt allows you all the fun of camping, just with amplified comfort. Escape and embrace nature, with plenty of local wildlife right out the door. Perfect get-away for couples, or if you want to camp with friends reach out about adding an additional tent on-site.

keep in mind…

What about water and electricity?

This is an off-grid campsite. There is no running water or electricity. We will provide battery operated lanterns, solar powered lights, and a five gallon jug of CLEAN DISTILLED water with a sink/washbowl (no drain). Keep this in mind and pack plenty of drinking water, flashlights, portable chargers, and deodorant (or plan to take a "lake shower"). No wifi, but there is cell service on the property. THERE IS A SOLAR CHARGED POWER CELL FOR YOUR USE. BACK UP BATTERIES AND SUPPLIES CAN BE FOUND UNDER THE BED AND IN THE CUPBOARDS- PLEASE USE SPARINGLY.

What about going to the bathroom

There is a compostable toilet that is fully functioning with instructions. Toilet paper is provided, and hand sanitizer. PLEASE TOSS ALL TOILET PAPER IN THE TRASH, NOT THE TOILET.

Can we come back with more people?

The YURT sleeps two adults, and would get pretty crowded after that. We do not object to adding a tent to the property but we have a hard limit of six guests. Permission must be obtained by us first before bringing additional guests/using tents. There is a fee of $30 PER PERSON/PER NIGHT after 2 adults.

Can we bring our dog?

Yes, we do allow dogs, but dogs must remain leashed or contained to the yurt area for their safety. The property surrounding the yurt is large and full of wildlife and next to a busy road, this combination can be unsafe and we don’t want you to risk losing your beloved pup.

CAN WE ACCESS THE LAKE FROM THE PROPERTY?

YEs, THERE IS ABOUT A WALKING PATH LOCATED EAST OF THE YURT THAT YOU CAN USE TO GET TO THE LAKE. FOLLOW THE MOWED PATH OVER THE HILL AND THERE IS A SIGN SAYING ‘LAKE.’ THE TRAIL IS JUST BRUSH CLEARED, not paved or PATHED in ANY WAY - MEANING WEAR APPROPRIATE SHOES. YOU CAN ACCESS THE SPIRIT TRAIL AND TOWNSHIP PARK, THE PATH IS WIDE ENOUGH FOR A BIKE, COOLER, SUPPLIES, ETC. THE PATH IS MONITORED REGULARLY AND AFTER YOUR STAY - IF LITTER OR DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY IS FOUND, YOU WILL BE CHARGED A FEE.

WHAT SUPPLIES DO YOU HAVE?

WE have basic grilling, cooking, and camping supplies. For example, a charcoal grill, some firewood, camping pans/pots, cutting boards, knives, cups, etc. Check out the PHOTOS TO SEE WHAT IS AVAILABLE.

WHat about HEATING AND COOLING?

IF IT IS HOT, we advise you bring plenty of drinking water & ice. Once you get to the yurt open the windows and door, then leave them open, open the umbrella for shade.

IF it gets cold, there are extra blankets available under the bed & a propane space heater. please crack the windows for safety when using the space heater.
